Jaipur, Feb 12 (IBNS): Rajasthan Chief Minister and Finance Minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday went all out to impress the farmers in her last budget ahead of the Assembly poll, which is expected to be held late this year, media reports said.

After receiving crushing defeats recently in the by-polls of Ajmer, Alwar and Mandalgarh in the hands of the Congress, the Raje government has tried to woo the farmers by waiving farm loans.

Raje has announced the waiving of interests on all farms loans taken by the farmers and all loans up to Rs. 50,000.

However, opposition Congress had demanded the government to waive loans completely.

Raje said farmers who have taken loans up to Rs. 50,000 from cooperative banks will be entitled to full loan waive.

She has also announced the seven lakhs new power connection in rural areas and also said the wages of Anganwadi workers will be raised to Rs. 6000 per month.

Aiming to resolve the drinking water crisis, Raje said her government will give pure drinking water in 27 districts of Rajasthan.

She has also promised to invest on roadways. "Roads of 882 km are being built to connect Pali, Jodhpur and Nagaur districts. In 2018-19, all villages of Rajasthan will be connected via roads. Mega highways will be prepped for emergency landing services so that they can be used in case of natural disasters" Raje was quoted by News 18.

In a surprising announcement, Raje said people above 80 years of age will be able to travel across the state via Rajasthan roadways buses free of cost.

The Chief Minister even announced a Rs. 25 lakhs reward for Kamlesh Nagarkoti, who hails from the state, for his impressive performance for Indian cricket team in the recently concluded Under-19 World Cup.

Raje's presentation of the budget was interrupted several
