New Delhi, Jan 10 (IBNS): A Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, who is suspected to have been involved in the Red Fort terror attack in 2000, was on Wednesday arrested from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, media reports said.

The terrorist has been identified as Bilal Ahmed Kawa.

The arrest was made in a joint operation by the Special Cell of Delhi Police and Gujarat ATS.

Following the arrest, Ahmed is now being questioned by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police.

The Red Fort in Delhi came under terrorist attack on Dec 22, 2000.

It was carried out by Pakistani terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

It killed two soldiers and one civilian, in what was described in the media as an attempt to derail the India-Pakistan peace talks.
