Patna/IBNS: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), led by Tejashwi Yadav, on Thursday protested against the fuel price hike which occurred for the 19th day even when the prices of crude oil have plunged globally.

To mark a protest, Tejashwi along with several other RJD leaders pulled a tractor by a rope.

Also the young politician, who is the son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, took a bicycle ride agitating against the central government.

"People are losing jobs due to Covid-19 situation. Above all, fuel prices are touching the sky. A situation has arrived where only rich people can afford to buy fuel," Tejashwi said in an unsparing attack on the BJP government.

Burning a hole in the common man's pocket, petrol and diesel prices were hiked for the 19th consecutive day in the national capital on Thursday.

Higher by 14 paise over its Wednesday price, diesel has been priced at Rs 80.02 per litre while petrol is retailing at Rs 79.92 a litre after 16 paise surge.
