Sacked BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav announces he will fight Lok Sabha polls from Varanasi to challenge PM Modi

| @indiablooms | Mar 30, 2019, at 03:59 pm

New Delhi, Mar 30 (IBNS): Ex-BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav, who was sacked from his service few years ago, on Saturday said he will contest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an MP from the seat. He won the contest from Varanasi in 2014.

He will once again fight from the seat this year.

Yadav was reportedly sacked from service when he had posted a video on the social media where he complained about the bad quality food being served to the forces. BSF, however, denied the allegation.

Yadav said he will fight the election as an independent candidate.

In his tweets, Yadav said: "Jaihind, I am feeling that I will contest against Modi ji from Varanasi. I will fight as an independent candidate as I can't be the slave of any party."

He said he will raise the issue of corruption in front of people.
