New Delhi, Apr 11 (IBNS): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday urged people to save water for drought-hit Latur area in Maharashtra.

"Severe water crisis in Latur. We all shud help. Are all Delhiites ready to save some water daily to send it for our people in Latur?" Kejriwal tweeted.

Water-filled railway wagons are on their way to Latur in Marathwada region of Maharashtra on Monday to provide much-needed drinking water to one of the worst drought hit areas in India, according to media reports.

The steam-cleaned 50 tank wagons were dispatched from Kota in Rajasthan on Friday and filled with water at Miraj in Maharashtra. The train is expected to reach Latur later on Monday.
