SC agrees to hear plea on Patiala House court complex scuffle
Social activist and JNU alumus ND Jayaprakash has filed the plea.
The plea was accepted for hearing by a bench headed by Chief Justice T S Thakur after the matter was mentioned before it.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is currently facing protests and counter protests with the police cracking down on students over the anti-India slogans raised earlier to mark the death anniversary of Parliament Attack convict Afzal Guru on its campus in the national capital.
JNU teachers, students and media persons were allegedly attacked by lawyers in New Delhi's Patiala Court on Monday.
The incident occurred before arrested JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar's was to be presented in the court.
Kanhaiya Kumar was earlier arrested on sedition charges.
