Security beefed up at UP CM Yogi Adityanath's residence after Gorakhnath temple attack
Lucknow/UNI: After Gorakhnath temple attack, security at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's residence was beefed up on Thursday.
According to official sources two platoons of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), including the alfa unit, have been deployed at the CM residence.
Meanwhile, reports said that security has also been beefed at Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur.
Besides, security has also been beefed up in the bordering area on the Indo-Nepal border.
Inspector General of Police (IG) Basti zone Rajesh Modak told UNI that after the attack on Gorakhnath temple security has been tightened not only in Basti but in the area alongside Indo-Nepal border and strict vigil is being maintained on suspicious activities.
He said that the officers have been directed to check public places, including hotels.
"People are being quizzed on routes like Badhni-Dhebarua, Shohratgarh-Khunuwa and Itwa-Devipatan which connect the bordering areas," he said.
