Security forces nab hardcore NDFB (S) militant from Assam

Guwahati, July 13 (IBNS) : Security forces on Friday said it have apprehended a hardcore militant of banned National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Sangbijit ) in Assam’s Chirang district.

Based on intelligence input, the Kokrajhar Police, 12 Sikhli Regiment,Cobra and 6 Battalion Sasastra Seema Bal jointly launched an operation in Chirang reserve forest area about movement of some militants.

The team noticed suspected militants and charged them and while being charged the suspected militants started to flee from the spot.

Security personnel managed to catch one of them.

During interrogation, he revealed himself to be Dwithun Brahma alias Daogalang, a 41st batch cadre of NDFB (S).

Security personnel recovered one 7.65mm pistol, along with 6 live rounds and one point 36 hand grenade, from his possession.

security forces are trying to nab the militants who escaped from the spot.
