Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray cautions banks, insurance companies from harassing farmers

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jun 22 (UNI) Taking a stock of the Crop Insurance Help Center setup by his party in this district, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray said for the farmers' distress, roadmap should be debt-free instead of loan waiver.

Addressing the farmers at Lasur station in the Gangapur taluka, Thackeray said his party will protest against those banks as well as insurance companies who dupe and harass farmers seeking loans and added that the offices of such unscrupulous institutions will be closed.

The Sena chief also raised the issue of middlemen. It is because of these middlemen, the benefits of such schemes doesn't reach farmers, he underlined.
 
Thackeray was accompanied by the district guardian minister Eknath Shinde, fomer MP Chandrakant Khaire, district party chief Ambadas Danve, Zilla Parishad president Devyani Dongaonkar, MLA Sanjay Shirsat and several other leaders.
