Sibal to take legal action against Ashutosh
"There is no truth in the allegations. These are all nonsense. I will prosecute Ashutosh over his allegations against me," said Sibal.
Ashutosh on Wednesday alleged that his opponent Sibal is buying votes in the constituency.
"Kapil Sibbal has started distributing money in Chandni Chowk to buy votes. EC should register a case and debar him from contesting," tweeted Ashutosh.
"Sibbal knows he can't save his deposit so trying all tricks but he will not succeed. People are awakened and will teach him lesson," he posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
The AAP leader said the Election Commission (EC) must intervene into this matter and take strict action against Sibal.
"Indian democracy has earned bad name due to men like Sibbal who thinks that money can buy vote and seat. EC should debar him from contesting. ... This election is about honesty and money power. Honesty will win hands down," he said.
"I request EC to immediately intervene in Chandni Chowk and arrest those who are distributing money and cancel Sibbal's nomination," he said.
"I appeal to Sonia Gandhi (Congress supremo) to expel man like Sibbal who thinks money can win election. Men like Sibbal are curse of Indian democracy," he added.
Ashutosh said his wife herself has seen Sibal's "men" distributing money.
"Yesterday In front of my wife Sibbal's men were distributing money in Chandni Chowk . I wish she had spy cam," he posted.
"She told me this morning. How money was distributed in packets by Sibbal men. They were menacing goons," tweeted Ashutosh.
"Another ex colleague of mine has informed me how Sibbal men were distributing money in packets in front of her/him," he added.
