Kolkata/IBNS: Popular singer Aditi Munshi Thursday became another celebrity to join the ruling Trinamool Congress in poll-bound West Bengal.

Aditi joined the party in presence of veteran Trinamool veteran Saugata Roy.

"I am grateful that Didi felt I am worthy. I don't think anyone else thinks about musicians like Didi does," said Aditi.

Apart from Aditi, actor Subhadra Mukherjee, actor-director Dheeraj Pandit and ex-Chairperson of the Garulia Municipality, Usha Choudhury also joined West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's party Thursday.

Just a day ago, Bengali film actor Sayantika Banerjee joined the party.

Very recently a host of Tollywood personalities including filmmaker Raj Chakraborty, actors June Malia, Kanchan Mullick, Saayoni Ghosh joined the party ahead of the elections.

However, the BJP is also not very far behind in inducting Tollywood stars as Bengali actors like Srabanti Chatterjee, Payel Sarkar, Rudranil Ghosh, Yash Dasgupta joined the saffron camp over the last few weeks.

The state will go through an eight-phase polls beginning Mar 27 and ending Apr 29.
