Indore, June 12 (IBNS): Spiritual guru Bhayyuji Maharaj died on Tuesday afternoon after he shot himself, media reports said.

According to reports, he succumbed to his injuries  after getting admitted to a hospital in a critical condition

The reasons for taking the extreme step is not yet clear.

A large number of his followers have gathered at the hospital where Bhaiyyuji was admitted.

Bhaiyyuji was offered cabinet post by the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in April. He, however, had refused the offer.

Details are awaited.
