Stalin, party leaders, meet TN Chief Minister as Karunanidhi' condition worsens

Chennai, Aug 7 (IBNS): Amid reports of worsening health condition of  DMK chief M. Karunanidhi, party working president M.K. Stalin on Tuesday met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami at the latter's residence, reports said.

 

Stalin was accompanied by family members and party leaders.

According to media reports, Stalin briefed the Chief Minister on his father's health condition.

The Hindu said  Stalin requested for a place on the Marina Beach in Chennai for a memorial.

. Karunanidhi’s health declined on Monday and doctors treating him at the Kauvery Hospital in Chennai set a 24-hour time frame to determine the prognosis.

They said Karunanidhi, who has been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of the hospital since July 29, is “very critical.”

On Monday night, the hospital issued a medical bulletin stating that there has been a decline in the medical condition of the former Tamil Nadu CM.

A large number of DMK cadres and supporters gathered outside the hospital soon after it issued a medical bulletin at 6.30 p.m on Monday,
