Stern action against Dadri killers, even if we have to sacrifice the government : Mulayam Singh Yadav

| | Oct 08, 2015, at 10:18 pm
Lucknow, Oct 8 (IBNS) Ten days after the Dadri lynching, Samajwadi Party chief Mul yam Singh Yadav on Thursday said those behind the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots were involved in this case and the state will take stern action against them "even if we have to sacrifice the government."

The veteran leader also said the conspiracy was  hatched by "three persons of a specific party". He, however, did not take the names.

Nine persons have so far been arrested in connection with the  September 28 incident in which a mob lynched 52-year-old Mohammad Akhlaq following rumours of cow slaughter and beef consumption.

Seven of the arrested are  allegedly related to a local BJP leader.

The incident triggered a huge outcry across the country with the opposition parties and prominent citizens accusing the saffron brigade and demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make a statement.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh, has however, pledged  "strongest possible action" against culprits "who try to break communal harmony in the country".
