Kolkata, Jan 3 (IBNS): TMC MP Sudip Bandopadhyay is likely to appear before the CBI on Tuesday, reports said.

He will appear before the  CBI in connection with the investigation into the Rose Valley chit fund scam.

Earlier on Dec 27, the investigation agency summoned Tapas Pal and sent a third notice to another TMC Lok Sabha MP SudipBandyopadhyay in connection with the same case and they both were asked to visit CGO Complex.

However, Sudip Bandyopadhyay avoided visiting CBI's office.

The CBI on Dec 30 arrested  Tapas Pal in connection with multi-crore Rose Valley financial scam.

According to reports, after being summoned by the CBI, Tapas Pal along with his wife and counsel visited the Central probe agency's office at CGO Complex in Kolkata's Salt Lake area and after hour-long interrogation, Pal was arrested in the late afternoon as his answers could not satisfy investigators.

"Tapas Pal was the director of Rose Valley's film and entertainment division and a huge amount of money was transferred several times to his bank accounts from the ponzi firm," a CBI official told IBNS.
