Sukna helicopter crash: Mamata Banerjee mourns loss of lives
"Saddened at the death of 3 army officers in Sukna due to tragic chopper crash. Words are never enough. My condolences to bereaved families," Banerjee tweeted.
According to reports, the chopper, carrying as many as four army personnel, crashed near Madhuban forest at around 11:45 am.
A spokesperson of Indian Army's Eastern Command told IBNS that after the accident, one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was rescued injured from the helicopter wreckage and had been rushed to hospital.
The Indian Army has ordered a probe into the deadly helicopter crash, reports said.
