Tamizhar Kalam volunteers take out procession against Sunny Leone dance programme

| @indiablooms | Dec 30, 2021, at 07:26 pm

Puducherry/UNI: Tension prevailed as the Tamizhar Kalam volunteers and social organizations on Thursday took out a procession to the old port complex opposing actress Sunny Leone's dance programme, which was scheduled to be held here on Friday night.

Opposing the programme, the volunteers took out the procession with posters not to hold the 'obscene' dance of Sunny Leone which will spoil the fame and culture of Puducherry.

They asked whether New year celebrations are necessary when COVID-19 and Omicron variants were threatening the society.

As they reached the entrance of the venue, police blocked them with barricades and the volunteers had an altercation with the police.

Later, police removed the protesters.

It is not immediately known whether Sunny Leone will take part in the dance programme or not.
