There's a Hitler rule going on in West Bengal: TMC MP Saumitra Khan says after joining BJP

| @indiablooms | Jan 09, 2019, at 05:35 pm

Kolkata, Jan 9 (IBNS): Joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Trinamool Congress's MP Saumitra Khan on Wednesday attacked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee by equating her to German dictator Adolf Hitler.

Without naming her, Khan was quoted as saying by India Today: "There's a Hitler rule going on in West Bengal."

"People are not allowed to vote during polls. Such is the state of affairs," he said.

"Many more from TMC will follow suit," he said.

Khan is a TMC Lok Sabha MP from Bishnupur.

He joined the party in the presence of BJP leader Mukul Roy.

Roy was himself a TMC leader in the past.

He joined the BJP in 2017.

The move was made as the country is gearing up for the Lok Sabha polls.
