Mumbai/IBNS: Expressing her disappointment over the repeal of farm laws, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Friday said India is a jihadi nation if people on the street start to make laws instead of the elected government.

Ranaut in an Instagram story said, "Sad, shameful and absolutely unfair...

"If people on the street have started to make laws and not the chosen government in the parliament then even this is a jihadi nation.... Congratulations to all who wanted it like this."

With barely a few months left for crucial assembly elections in north India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Modi on Friday announced the repeal of three controversial farm laws that had triggered massive protests by the peasants.

In a national address, Modi, the top leader of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said, "Today, I want to tell everyone that we have decided to repeal all three farm laws."

"We will finish the process to repeal the law in the upcoming Parliament session."
