Those left out in Aayushman Bharat scheme would be included soon: Yogi Adityanath

Launching the Jan Arogya campaign here on Friday, the Chief Minister said that it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to extend quality health facilities to the people through Aayushman Bharat project who cannot afford it. “We know all the bonafide people who have failed to make it to the list of Aayushman Bharat will be included in the list,” Yogi said.

He said that if we can provide better health facilities in UP it will find its reflection in India’s health index.

“Keeping this in mind the Uttar Pradesh government has launched the Jan Aarogya Campaign under which small centres will be connected with specialists in big hospitals digitally. For that, a total of 15 tele medicine centres and equal number of tele-radiology centres have been inaugurated across the state,” Chief Minister said, while addressing the people during the function.

“Through telemedicine system we will be able to provide quality health care facilities to the people residing in the far flung areas. Many regions of the state were languishing because of non availability of the better facilities. This government has initiated process to extend better facilities in rural areas because specialists do not want to go to villages and serve in rural areas. We used technology to provide better facilities to the poor people,” the CM said.

Health Minister Sidharthnath Singh said that telemedicine service has begun in 15 centres including the backward regions such as Hamirpur, Mirzapur and Bahraich.

“Considering the fact there is paucity of radiologists government has also started 15 Radiology centres. Jan Aarogaya centres will also be started in 750 centres across the state where primary medical facilities will be provided to the people, the minister said.

He said that in coming months over 2,500 centres would be set up across the state. “By next three years, we will have best of health facilities in the country,” the health minister said adding that a fleet of 712 ambulances have been added to the existing fleet of 108 ambulances.

Tourism and Child Welfare Minister Dr Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that since Yogi Government has come to power there is a decline in child mortality rate. “We are committed to give a better future to the children of this nation and we will fulfill that promise,” she said.
