Three Jaish militant hideouts busted in south Kashmir
Srinagar/UNI: Three Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant outfit hideouts were unearthed by security forces in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, a police spokesman said on Friday evening.
He said based on specific information regarding the presence of JeM hideouts in Buchoo and Kamla forests of Tral area of Awantipora, Police along with Army launched a search operation in the area.
During the search in the area, three hideouts of JeM outfit was busted and subsequently destroyed.
The joint team was able to recover incriminating materials including IED material from the hideouts.
The incriminating material has been taken into Police custody for the purpose of investigation.
Accordingly, a case FIR under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tral and investigation into the matter has been initiated.
However, no one was arrested, he said.
