TMC to dominate in Bengal: Exit Poll
According to CNN-IBN-CSDS-Lokniti post-poll survey, the TMC is expected to get 38 percent vote share and win 25-31 seats in the state.
The opposition Left Front is expected to get 24 percent votes and win 7-11 seats. While, the BJP is likely to get third position by getting 15 percent of votes and 1-3 seats, the Congress will be able to manage 13 percent votes and 2-4 seats.
The channel predicted that others are expected to get 10 percent votes.
In the eastern state of Odisha, the channel's survey showed that ruling Biju Janta Dal (BJD) is likely to retain its number one position in the state once again.
According to post-poll survey, the BJD is expected to get 12-16 seats with 37 percent vote share. The BJP is expected to bag 3-7 seats with 29 percent vote share and the main opposition Congress may get 1-3 seats with 24 percent vote share.
In Jharkhand, the BJP is likely to get 44 percent vote share.
Meanwhile, the ruling JMM-Congress-RJD alliance may get just 21 percent vote share. Babu Lal Marandi's JVM-P may get 11 percent votes. The others expected to get 24 percent votes, the post-poll survey said.
In Assam, the post-poll survey predicted the Congress may get 40 percent vote share.
The BJP is expected to get 22 percent vote share. The AGP and AIUDF are likely to get 13 and 11 percent of the votes respectively. Others may get remaining 14 percent votes.
The last phase of the nine phased election in India to constitute a new Lok Sabha concluded on Monday where the country witnessed highest ever voter turnout of 66.38 percent.
Amid violence and clashes, the eastern Indian state of West Bengal registered a high turnout of nearly 80 percent voters, where voting was held across 17 seats, including south and north Kolkata seats.
While Bihar registered a balloting of 54 percent, the politically crucial state of Uttar Pradesh witnessed 55 percent voter turnout.
