Train engine derails, veers into field in Bihar's Gaya

| @indiablooms | Sep 15, 2024, at 08:00 pm

Gaya (Bihar): A train engine was spotted in the middle of a field in Bihar’s Gaya, leaving people surprised and wondering how it managed to leave the tracks and reach the field, media reports said.

Villagers clicked pictures of the bizarre spotting and posted them on social media, which sparked a wave of memes online, with jokes on trains now being used to plough fields.

The engine, which was running without any coaches, was heading toward Gaya on a loop line when it lost control and derailed and veered into the field between Raghunathpur village between Wazirganj station and Kolhna halt, NDTV reported.

A railway relief team later arrived at the site, and efforts were underway to return the engine to the tracks, it said.
