TRS rejects BJP's proposal to form alliance in Telangana
Hyderabad, Dec 10 (IBNS): Days ahead of the results of the crucial Telangana polls, the Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS) has rejected the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s proposal to form a post-poll alliance to constitute the next state government, media reports said.
BJP's state president Dr. K Laxman on Sunday said no single party will get a clear majority in the state, which went to polls on December 7, hence the saffron outfit will play a key role after the results come out on Tuesday.
Laxman said the state unit will talk to the high command and will lend support to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's TRS if needed.
Rejecting the offer, TRS spokesperson Bhanu Prasad told media the TRS will get a clear majority and moreover there is no question of allying with the BJP.
Prasad said the party will cling to its friends.
According to several exit polls, the TRS will get a clear majority in the state, keeping the Congress- Telegu Desam Party (TDP) alliance away from power.
