Two bikers killed, one injured in Assam road accident

Guwahati, Aug 16 (IBNS): Two bikers were killed and another injured after they were hit by an unknown vehicle in Assam’s Biswanath district last night.

According to the reports, the incident took place at Baghmari on the National Highway 15.

The deceased persons were identified as Bipul Majhi and Susen Jogdula and one Sachin Gowala was also injured in the incident.

The injured person was rushed to a hospital.

Locals alleged that the bikers were hit by a convoy of a politician.

A large number of people blocked the National Highway following the incident and demanded a probe into the incident.

Assam minister Ranjit Kumar Dutta and the officials of the district administration, police also rushed to spot to control the situation.

“An accident was happened at Monabari Baghmari. The bikers were hailing from Monabari area. Two died on spot and one received severe injuries in the incident. We want a probe into the incident,” a local youth said.
