Panaji/UNI: Crime Branch of Goa Police on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with the murder of businessman Swapnil Walke.

According to police sources, the two accused- Omkar Patil and Edson Gonsalves- were arrested while search was on for a third accused identified as Mustafa Sheikh.

The businessman was stabbed to death at Margao in South Goa in broad daylight on Sept 2, 2020.

While Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had expressed shock over the incident and asked police to arrest the culprits at the earliest, opposition slammed the government for deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
