| @indiablooms | Jun 30, 2022, at 05:20 pm

Mumbai/UNI: Shiv Sena spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut Thursday tweeted implying that former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was virtually stabbed in the back with a dagger.

Later interacting with media persons Raut said that the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs had betrayed Thackeray, forcing him to step down as Chief Minister, before facing the floor of the test last night.

He was not greedy for power, said Raut.

He also made clear that he and NCP chief Sharad Pawar are not responsible for the rebellion within the Shiv Sena and asked Eknath Shinde group not to spread false information.

He also accused that the rebel group has got a contract to pull down the MVA government, led by Uddhav Thackeray, in which they have succeeded and he warned nobody can finish the Shiv Sena party.

Talking about receiving a notice from the ED he said I will be appearing before the ED Friday and if any action is taken against me I am ready to face it.

"Our best wishes to the upcoming new state government and we expect them to work for the welfare of people and we will play the role of a constructive opposition in the state assembly," said Raut.
