Mumbai/IBNS: Ending a long political crisis in the state of Maharashtra, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray is all set to take oath as the Chief Minister on Thursday.

Uddhav Thackeray is going to be the first person from the Thackeray family to be the CM.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Congress leaders Kapil Sibal and Mallikarjun Kharge  are likely to attend the oath-taking ceremony, media reports said.

Uddhav Thackeray spoke to PM Narendra Modi over phone and invited him for the event.

Young Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray on Wednesday night met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former PM Manmohan Singh and invited them for the ceremony.

"This evening I sought blessings and good wishes from @INCIndia President Smt. Sonia Gandhi ji & former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh ji for the Maha Vikas Aghadi," he tweeted.

Amid camaraderie and cheerful faces all around, 283, out of the total 288 newly-elected legislators of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, took their oath of office at the Vidhan Bhavan here on Wednesday.
