Udhampur to host Make in India Seminar and North Technical Symposium 2015

Udhampur, Aug 31 (IBNS) The Make in India Seminar and North Technical Symposium 2015 are being organised under the aegis of Army's Headquarters Northern Command in Udhampur on Sept 7 and 8.

Keeping in step with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's, 'Make in India' mantra the aim of these events is to encourage local industry to form part of global supply chain and eventually become globally competitive in terms of technology, manufacturing, pricing and quality norms.

Besides the officers of Northern Command representative of academic defence industry and DRDO are expected to attend the two days seminar and will interact with the Army.

Symposium is likely to be attended by eighty participating entities form PSUs, original equipment manufacturers and corporate bodies.

Northern Army Commander Lt Gen DS Hooda will inaugurate the event.
