Union govt listens, acts, responds only on Twitter: Nitish slams Modi ahead of Gaya rally

Patna. Aug 9 (IBNS): On a day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to address a rally in Gaya ahead of the Bihar Assembly Polls, state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday morning said the central government only listens, acts and responds on Twitter.
"Finally we have a government that could be truly called a "Union Twitter Government" that listens, acts, and responds only on twitter," Nitish Kumar tweeted.

Listing a number of queries he had posted before Modi's July 25 Muzaffarpur rally, Kumar tweeted: "Apparently you didn't have time to respond to these earlier. Hope you’ll do it now.Reposting for your ready reference."

Taking a dig at Modi, Kumar wrote: "Modiji even though you didn’t answer my questions was heartening to see you open your speech at Muzaffarpur taking cognizance of my tweets."

Modi on Sunday will be accompanied by BJP President Amit Shah and other party leaders from the state.

This is Modi's second visit to state as a part of the poll campaign.

In his earlier 'Parivartan rally' in North Bihar's Muzaffarpur last month, Modi said there was something wrong in Nitish Kumar's "political DNA" as he ditched "friends".

"I was hurt when he withdrew his support. But when he did the same thing to a Mahadalit like Jitan Manjhi, then I figured out there is something wrong in his political DNA," Modi had said in a remark referring to events following the JD(U)'s split with the BJP in 2013.

Modi had alleged that  Kumar broke up with him ahead of the Lok Sabha elections for personal gain.

"If you hated me so much you could have come into my room and slapped me. Or strangled me. For that you jeopardised the development of the entire state," he had said.

The JD(U) and the BJP were alliance partners for 15 years till they split ahead of the Lok Sabha elections over the projection of Modi as prime ministerial candidate.
