UP CM Yogi Adityanath appeals Ram bhakts to watch Bhoomi pujan from home
Lucknow/UNI: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday appealed to the Ram bhakts to watch the live Bhumi pujan programme from their houses rather than taking risk by going to Ayodhya during this Covid-19 pandemic.
"I think every Ram Bhakts want to attend the Bhoomi pujan programme but due to Covid and security reasons they cannot come. I think they should accept it as the wish of the God to keep them in their houses and watch the programme live on TV," he said.
The CM, who is also the Mahant of Gorakshnath peth, has also urged the people to illuminate their houses and religious places by lightning diyas and candles on Aug 4 and 5 besides reciting Akhand Ramayan to celebrate the occasion.
In a statement here he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would attend the Bhoomi pujan to symbolise the representation of 125 crore people in the programme. Due to the wish and effort of the PM, the country could see this day after centuries.
"The Ram temple will usher a new ray of hope and development in Ayodhya and its surrounding areas along with UP and the country as well. Ayodhya has already witnessed a grand Deepostav in the past 3 years , but now a real development would be showcased along with the construction of the grand Ram temple as the area was neglected by the past governments," he further said.
The CM added that this age could be termed as an age of human welfare with a new era of Bharat Nirman and in other words it can also be called as 'Ramrajya'.
