Uttar Pradesh Crime: 17-yr-old allegedly gang-raped by two brothers

Gonda/UNI: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two brothers in the Tarabganj area here, police said on Friday.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Shailesh Kumar Pandey said that the girl, a resident of a village in the Tarabganj area, has accused two married brothers--Shafiq (32) and Taufiq (25)--of forcibly taking her to their home and outraging her modesty on Thursday.

On the basis of a complaint by the victim, a case has been registered and one of the accused has been taken into custody for questioning.

The victim has been sent for a medical check-up.

Further investigation is underway.
