Uttar Pradesh: Separate road accidents kill 10

Lucknow, May 17 (UNI) At least 10 people were killed while four others were injured in two separate road accidents in Deoria and Bulandshahr districts in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

A report from Deoria said that seven people traveling on a car were killed when their vehicle collided with a stationary truck at Barauna roundabout in Khukudu area of the district, three died on the spot while four succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

The deceased were identified as Shashankmani(30), Acchelal(52), Anil Srivastava(50), Chandraesh Singh (60), Ramesh Singh( 21), Santosh(22) and Om Prakash (45).

In another accident at Bulandshahr, a speeding truck hit a van, returning from a marriage function in Chatari Dohre area early this morning in which 3 people were killed on the spot and four others sustained injuries.

Police said that the injured were rushed to the hospital in Meerut.

The accident occurred on Aligarh-Anoopshahr highway in which Shivam (28), Rahul (21) and Ravi(30) were killed on the spot.
