Uttarakhand: Bus carrying 45 people falls into gorge in Pauri

Pauri Garhwal: In Uttarakhand, a bus full of passengers fell into a deep gorge in the Lansdowne area of Pauri district late on Tuesday evening.

A total of 45 people are said to be on the bus. Rescue teams are on the spot, but due to darkness, the rescue work could not be started.

The Chief Minister has postponed all his tomorrow's programs after the incident.

State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) spokesperson Lalita Negi told UNI that the information was received at eight o'clock in the night of the procession bus accident near Timri village, 70 km ahead of Dhumkot in Pauri district.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh reached the Disaster Control Room located at Dhami Secretariat as soon as the information about the bus accident in Pauli district was received.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the officials of the State Disaster Control Room to keep a constant watch on the situation and be in constant touch with the district officials.

He said that all possible help should be provided from the government level.
