Vaisno Devi chopper service remains suspended due to fog

Jammu/UNI:  The chopper service from Katra to Sanjhi Chat for Vaishno Devi pilgrims on Friday remained suspended for second consecutive day due to fog in view of rains and fresh snowfall in Trikuta Hills in Katra town of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Due to rains, fog and fresh snowfall, the chopper service remained suspended for the second day from Katra.

An official said that the yatra to Bhairon Ghati is also suspended but smoothly moving on both traditional and new tracks.

He however, said that rains have lashed the Trikuta Hills while the Shrine Board staff deployed along track, are guiding pilgrims to remain alert and watchful while performing pilgrimage.

"Chopper service will resume as soon as weather improves," he added.
