Veteran Odia actor Mahasweta Ray joins BJP

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12 (IBNS):  Veteran Odia actor Mahasweta Ray on Monday joined the BJP in the state.

She joined the party, which is currently ruling at the Centre, in the presence of senior party leaders.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was present at the time in the party headquarter when Ray joined the BJP.

He earlier tweeted: " Attending the induction of new members & Karyakartas in our party at BJP Headquarters in Bhubaneswar."

Ray has worked in numerous memorable Odia movies.

In 1976, she had made her debut in  Sesa Shrabana.
