Vijay Rupani sworn in as Gujarat's new Chief Minister

Gandhinagar, Aug 7 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party's Vijay Rupani was on Sunday sworn in as the next Chief Minister of Gujarat here.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by BJP bigwigs Arun Jaitley, Amit Shah and LK Advani.

Rupani replaces Anandiben Patel. She resigned from the post recently.

Meanwhile, Nitin Patel was sworn in as Rupani's deputy.

Besides them, 23 others took the oath for portfolios in the state cabinet at a ceremony held in Gandhinagar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him with a Twiiter post.
