War is not an option, India will continue talks with Pakistan: Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Dec 16 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said in the Lok Sabha that 'war' with Pakistan was not an 'option'.

Swaraj said her government is planning to hold dialogue with the neighbouring nation.

"War is not an option. We are seeing a new beginning and we hope that dialogue is the way forward so that the shadow of terror is removed," she said.

Swaraj recently visited Pakistan.

In a significant move,a National Security Advisors level talks between India and Pakistan was held in Bangkok recently.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and his Pakistani counterpart Nasir Janjua held talks, days after Indian PM Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif met in French capital Paris.
