WB govt brings health scheme 'Mabhoi' for accredited journalists

Kolkata, Feb 17 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday announced a health scheme, Mabhoi, for the government-accredited journalists till their age of 65 years, even after retirement.

Journalists, who have been granted accreditation by WB government's Information and Cultural Affairs department, and their family members will be benefited by this health scheme from Apr 1, 2016.

Under this scheme, journalists and their families would be able to get treatment in all state government owned hospitals and health centres, and all private hospitals accredited under West Bengal Health Scheme.

Meanwhile, Banerjee also declared that a new police station- Rabindra Sarovar- will come up in Kolkata.
