West Bengal BJP activist held for sharing obscene image of Mamata Banerjee, Naveen Patnaik on social media
Kolkata, Sep 18 (IBNS): Police on Tuesday arrested a young BJP activist from Saila village under Salboni Police Station limits in West Medinipur district of West Bengal for allegedly posting a morphed image of Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on social networking site, Facebook, reports said.
According to reports, the active district-level worker of BJP, Babuya Ghosh, was held after a complaint was lodged against him with West Medinipur district police.
Local police said that besides sharing the morphed image, the youth also posted several obscene comments on social media against Mamata Banerjee.
Police have charged the BJP worker under IT Act sections.
