West Bengal: Foggy weather leads to bus accident, 40 hurt

| | Dec 30, 2016, at 05:17 pm
Kolkata, Dec 30 (IBNS): At least 40 people were injured when a bus smashed into a standing truck on NH-6 in West Bengal in the wee hours of Friday, reports said.

According to reports, a bus that was heading towards East Midnapur's Digha from North 24 Parganas crashed into a truck, parked beside highway, due to low visibility because of heavy fog near Bagnan in Howrah district.

After being rescued, all injured passengers were rushed to Bagnan Rural Hospital nearby and as four of them were in critical conditions, were shifted to Uluberia Hospital later.

Police seized both the vehicles,  while the driver-helpers of the bus and truck are still absconding.
