West Bengal: Toy train derails near Kurseong, 11 hurt

Kolkata/Darjeeling, Jan 10 (IBNS): At least 11 persons were injured when a Darjeeling to Siliguri bound toy train went off the track near Kurseong in north Bengal on Tuesday afternoon, reports said.

According to reports, an engine and a coach of the toy train derailed and overturned between Gayabari and Mahanadi stations, nearly 8 kilometres away from Kurseong.

At least 10 passengers and the driver of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway train were injured due to the accident and rushed to nearby hospital.

Railway's rescue teams have been deployed to the scene.

Indian Railway officials and engineers have started enquiry into the crash to know the exact reason behind the accident.
