Will offer employment rather than 'notes' to youth: BSP chief Mayawati

| @indiablooms | Apr 08, 2019, at 06:08 pm

Meerut, Apr 8 (UNI) Launching a scathing attack on Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Monday said that if her party comes to power at the Centre, she will offer employment rather than notes to the unemployed youth.

Addressing a 'gathbandhan' rally at the Hapur road here, Mayawati on Monday said that there is no need to 'try' the Congress and the BJP governments now. If our party comes to power at the Centre, the unemployed youth will be given jobs.

Rather than giving 6,000 rupees a month, I will offer facilities. The extremely poor people will be given jobs in the government and non-government sectors, the BSP supremo said.

Lashing out at the BJP and the Congress, the former UP chief minister said that both the parties had misled the nation. The borders of the nation are not secure in the BJP's tenure. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was doing rallies at the time of the Pulwama attack.

To lead the people astray, incomplete works were inaugurated before the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct and foundation stones for new projects were laid without arrangements. The injustices and scams that took place during the Congress's tenure, the same are being committed by the BJP government.

Mayawati further said that the Congress had fielded candidates to harm the 'gathbandhan,' while further averring that the BJP was worried after the Deoband rally.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) have been misused, the BSP honcho said.

Launching an all-out attack at the Congress and the BJP, Mayawati said that the governments of both the parties had cheated the public of the country and had failed to keep the promises that were made.

Mayawati said that the BJP government benefited the corporate households, while further alleging that the opposition parties and the media had done misleading campaigns against the Grand Alliance.

BSP chief said that the farmers of the country were worried today while GST and demonetisation had increased unemployment.

Mayawati alleged that Congress and BJP held a communal, casteist and narrow mentality.

The BSP supremo appealed the people to make Meerut candidate Yaqub Qureshi, Bijnaur candidate Malook Nagar and Baghpat candidate Jayant Chaudhary, victorious.

Lashing out at the BJP, Mayawati said that unemployment, poverty and corruption had increased in the tenure of the BJP. She also advocated reservations for Dalits and Backward classes in the private sector.
