Will work to strengthen crucial partnership: Vinay Mohan Kwatra posts on X after assuming charge as India's ambassador to USA

Vinay Mohan Kwatra has assumed charge as India's ambassador to the USA at a time when the country is gearing up for the crucial presidential poll.

He said his team will work intensely to strengthen the crucial partnership between India and the USA.

In his X post, Kwatra said: " Privileged to assume charge as the Ambassador of India to the United States of America. Team @IndianEmbassyUS will continue to work intensely to strengthen this crucial partnership."

Kwatra is a 1988 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer.

In his career, he also served as the Foreign Secretary after Harsh Vardhan Shringla.

The senior diplomat emitted office as foreign secretary on July 14.

He had earlier served as India's envoy to France and Nepal.
