YSR Congress candidate dies in road mishap

Hyderabad, Apr 24 (IBNS): YSR Congress candidate Shobha Nagireddy, who met with a road accident in Hyderabad on Wednesday night, succumbed to her injuries at a hospital on Thursday.

According to reports, the 45-year-old leader was returning from a poll campaign on Wednesday night when the car she was travelling in, skidded off the road and overturned.

Nagireddy suffered severe head injuries as she was thrown out of the car during the mishap.

She was contesting the elections from the Allagadda assembly seat in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held in Andhra Pradesh simultaneously on May 7.
