The birthday boy was, however, caught up in a controversy recently when a leading newspaper allegedly reported that Arjun and Sussanne Khan went overseas to spend a vacation together.

The report claimed that Arjun's wife Mehr Jesia found out that her husband and her best friend Khan went abroad to spend quality time together.

The angry actor took to it Twitter to clear the air and posted: "Bombay Times, who paid you? Who are these faceless accusers? If you have the guts reveal them first. Stay away from me and my family."

"My dear friends,my family and I thank you for this overwhelming support.Yes it's time to put ones foot down to crap reporting. #toiletpaper," he later posted.

The news came as a shocker since Arjun and his wife have tried to settle things between Hrithik and his ex-wife Sussanne.

The actor began his career as a model and debuted in Bollywood with 'Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat' in 2001.

Although the film was not a box-office hit, Arjun's performance was appreciated and he bagged several awards for his work in the movie including a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

Arjun received critical acclaim for his unconventional performances in movies of numerous genre. Some of his popular films include 'Deewaanapan' (2001),' Dil Ka Rishta' (2003) 'Asambhav' (2004), 'Elaan', 'Raajneeti' (2010), 'We Are Family' (2010) 'Heroine' (2012), 'D-Day' (2013) and 'Satyagraha' (2013).

His performance in 'Rock On!!' also bagged him the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Even at this age, the actor continues to maintain a position in the industry on the basis of his consistent performances that have earned him critical acclaim and numerous awards.

He has established his production company Chasing Ganesha Films and donned the cap of a film producer with the venture 'I See You' in 2006.

The actor will be seen next in 'Rock On 2' and 'Roy'.
