Kolkata, June 6 (IBNS): Tollywood actress Paoli Dam and new age filmmaker Mainak Bhaumik, who teamed up as actor-director duo in the latter's recent Bengali release Family Album, unveiled a new line of family themed gold jewellery collection by Shyam Sunder Co. Jewellers here on Friday.

This special light weight line of high-fashion jewellery was unveiled at Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers' flagship showroom on Rash Behari Avenue.

“The collection is inspired by family ties and the special bonds which families share. This range of jewellery conveys the changing scenarios at home but still retains the purity and the special bond among family members,” said Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers.

‘Jewellery that says times have changed.' reads the tagline of the collection. Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers is a heritage jewellery house launched in 1954.

Akin to the way one experiments with relationships, the jewellers have mirrored the same through their traditional jewellery. The use of materials like copper and sunmica not only make this collection a unique one, but also makes it more affordable, the officials said.

Moreover, it makes this collection the ideal choice for the modern day working woman, said Saha.

"These unique materials blend beautifully with the traditional gold designs, emphasizing on how society around us keeps changing keeping the tradition and values intact," he said.

Mainak Bhaumik said he believes that jewellery complements women. He also pointed out how the definition of beauty has changed over the generations; and how people are seeking  something new and unique.

This light weight range of high fashion jewellery is carved on 22 carat gold. The selection, Saha said, is reasonably priced; starting from Rs.10,000  for 3 grams going unto Rs. 36,000 for 14 grams. The special gold coin collection starts  at Rs. 5,500 for 2 grams the highest being Rs 27,000 for 10 grams.

The collection is available at all the showrooms of Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers.
