Mumbai, Jan 16 (IBNS): Bollywood's new age hunk Sidharth Malhotra, who turned a year old on Friday, ushered in his birthday with a party in the beaches of Goa.

Sidharth's friends, including Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukerji, flew to Goa on Thursday for the party, media reports said.

The birthday bash started from Thursday night itself.

The year 2014 had been special for the actor who had two commercially successful films—the romantic comedy 'Hasee Toh Phasee' and the thriller 'Ek Villain'.

The model-turned-actor debuted in Karan Johar's commercially successful venture 'Student of the Year', for which he received the nomination for Filmfare Best Male Debut.

Following the success of the film, Sidharth has been participating in several stage shows and is a prominent celebrity endorser for brands and products.

The actor will next be seen in 'Brothers' alongside Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff.

The film will release on July 31.
