Actors Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree earns Rs. 6 cr on opening day

Mumbai, Sept 1 (IBNS):  Actors Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's Stree left many surprised as the movie earned Rs. 6. 82 crores at the Box Office on its opening day.

The movie released on Friday.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "When numbers do the talking... #Stree surpasses the expectations and estimations and posts a SUPERB number on Day 1... Biz is expected to multiply over the weekend... Fri ₹ 6.82 cr. India biz... Hugely positive word of mouth has translated into BO numbers. "

The movie assumes significance as it is a new genre introduced by the Bollywood where the audience will watch a comedy film with a pinch of horror added to it.

Amar Kaushik has directed the film and what made it different was the mix of comedy and horror genre in one movie.

The movie is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj and DK.

It also features Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana and Vikay Raaz in the lead roles.
