Aditya Deshmukh on receiving his first award: Awards work as a booster
Mumbai: Actor Aditya Deshmukh, who is currently seen in the show Ziddi Dil, is thrilled to have received his first award.
He says that this feeling is absolutely incredible.
“I have received my first award as the best actor in a supporting role male. It is an amazing feeling. Your efforts and timeless energy that you have given for your work and getting recognised is really amazing,” he says, adding, “It gives me a sense of responsibility that I have to work harder because the moment you receive an award, there is a lot of burden on your shoulders. The audience and other production houses, when they cast you, look up to you and your next performances so you have to be better every day. It's my responsibility that I have to work harder so that I live up to the expectations and whatever awards that I have I actually deserve and I have accepted it with a lot of respect and in future I will work the same.”
Talking about the significance of awards in your life, he says, “It is very important. It gives you a sense of satisfaction and it gives you a booster. It also gives you recognition for the hard work you have done and comes with a belief that you can do better. You come in the eye of everyone including big producers and directors who believe in your performances and act. That actually gives you recognition and it is very important in today's date as far as digital media is concerned. I think through the medium of awards it is really important.”
For Aditya, the script makes all the difference for him.
“According to me, an actor always gets a kick after listening to the script. Once they feel like I can do this story and act well, then award and all are secondary things. Getting an award or reward is a secondary thing, before that it is important for me to see if I fit into this character. Once I feel I actually fit, later the process of work will start, my prep for the act will start and after that prep, the shoot will happen. When the final product comes out and people praise it, after that award part actually comes,” he says.
